10-03 TEACHERS FOR TOMORROWOn Wednesday, September 25, fifteen students from the Teachers for Tomorrow class at R-HHS spent the day at Phenix Elementary observing and assisting in the classrooms.

This class, comprised of mainly juniors and seniors, is dedicated to helping teenagers who wish to pursue teaching careers. It provides knowledge of the educational requirements for becoming a teacher while showing students that teaching isn’t as easy as it may look! Teachers for Tomorrow students receive instruction on how to conduct themselves in the classroom setting, as well as how to assist and provide for students with disabilities or special needs.

Students mentoring for the day at Phenix Elementary were: Justice Stewart, DeShawn Brooks, Olivia Guill, Cassandra Williams, Yasmine Page, Matthew Robbins, Sara Masi, Amanda Brown, Emma Piazza, Caitlin Maloney, Alicia Cisco, Hannah Peck, LaShonda Taylor, Renee Felker and Antoinette Elam.

It was a pleasure having Teachers for Tomorrow spend the day at Phenix Elementary. The class of Teachers for Tomorrow would like to thank their teacher, Mrs. Karen Osborne, for helping them realize that everyone is equal! They love Mrs. Osborne!
