Major David Eppes
October 16, 1962 – October 7, 2013
Major David Eppes died at his home on Monday, October 7, 2013 of natural causes. He was 50 years old.
Eppes has served the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office for more than 22 years. He had numerous certifications from Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy in Lynchburg and was an Officer Survival Instructor as well as the Firearm Instructor at the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12 at 12 noon at the Prince Edward County School Auditorium on Zion Hill Road in Farmville. Interment will be in the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice. Visitiation will be at the Bland-Reid Funeral Home on 413 Griffin Blvd. in Farmville on Friday morning from 10am-7pm.
