Patrick Nets 34 In Bluestone Win

The Bluestone Barons remain at the top of the James River District as they came away with an impressive 74-59 win over Prince Edward. Senior guard Keith Patrick had a huge night as he led all scorers with 34 points.

The game would be close early on as Bluestone led 15-12 in the first quarter. Good offense from Najawuan Davis helped pace the Barons early on. The second quarter would see Prince Edward battle back and outscore Bluestone 19-16 to tie the game at 31 points each as they went to the half.

The third quarter would be another evenly matched period as Bluestone got a couple late buckets from Keith Patrick and Antwaun Tucker to take a 2 point lead into the final eight minutes of play.

The Barons would turn up the defensive intensity in the final period as they forced steals and picked up easy offensive baskets. Patrick would lead the defensive effort as he had 7 steals in leading Bluestone to the 74-59 win.

Patrick was the leading scorer with 34 points, while Davis scored 14 and Tucker added 8 in pacing the Barons.
