Pamplin Man Charged in Shooting Death – Police Seek Second Suspect

PAMPLIN – A 23-year-old Pamplin man has been charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony following the shooting death of 35-year-old Donnell Maurice Green, also of Pamplin.

According to Prince Edward County Sheriff Wesley Reed, on May 11, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m. deputies and troopers responded to the 100 block of Holliday Hills Drive in reference to a shooting. Green was transported to Southside Community Hospital where he later died.

Following the shooting, Simon Carl Lark was arrested and charged.

In addition, the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office has identified a second suspect in the murder of Green and are seeking his whereabouts. Mario Redfearn has been identified as that second suspect.
