Nancy Moore, 

Falls Church, Va.

Nancy Colden Lasher Moore, age 89, passed away January 1, 2016 at her home in Falls Church, Virginia, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Col. Merl M. Moore, Jr. (deceased); loving mother of Elizabeth Moore Peaden (Bret), Derick Moore (Robin Mee), Charles Moore (Ginger Jones), Magdalene Moore Copp (Jeffrey), and Sarah Moore (Terence Shea). She was the cherished grandmother of Anne Peaden Hamilton (Brian), Lucy Peaden Taylor (Michael), Thomas Peaden, Maxwell and Colden Moore, Caroline and Henry Shea, Annie, Molly and Jack Moore and great-grandmother of William, Kathryn, and Jacob Hamilton. She is also survived by her niece, Kate Jennings Lasher Pepper and great-nephew Sam Howard Pepper. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents (Isabelle Bush and Robert Reed Lasher) and her brother (Robert Eltinge Lasher.) Mrs. Moore, a descendant of early Dutch/French Huguenots, was a native New Yorker who lived most of her childhood in Bronxville and New Paltz. She was an alumnae of the New Jersey College for Women (Douglass College, now Rutgers) graduating in 1949 with a degree in English. A memorial service will be held at Dulin United Methodist Church, 513 E. Broad St., Falls Church, VA 22046 on Saturday, January 9 at 2 p.m.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy C. Moore’s name to the Dulin Church Memorial Fund.

Celina Marie Hill

Farmville, Va.

Celina Marie Hill, age 88, of Farmville, Virginia passed away Friday, January 1, 2016.  She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Carolyn Palmertree and husband, Ed, Elaine Sraver and husband, Brant, all of Farmville, Va.; seven grandchildren, Tammy Hulett, Kenneth Palmertree, Lynn Ashley, David Mosley, Wendy Stillwell, Kimberly Uptegraph, Brant Sraver, Jr.; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other friends and family members.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the Briery Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The family received friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences can be sent at www.browningduffer.com.

Donald S. Campbell

Keysville, Va.

Donald Sherwood Campbell, 76 passed away December 23, 2015 at his home in Keysville, VA.  He loved to fish and never met a stranger.  Don leaves behind his loving wife, of 37 years, Carol Jean Trent Campbell; a son, Trent Campbell; a daughter, Christal Campbell Eubank and son-in-law, Michael Eubank, all of Keysville, VA; many cousins including Keevin and Amy Francisco of Keysville, VA. He is also survived by special friends, Joyce Hobgood and Joseph Turner.  Don was loved by many friends and family.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family received friends at their home on Union Grove Road at any time and immediately following the service.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA was in charge of the arrangements.
