More Clues, No Resolution in Virginia Edmonds Case

Missing Woman’s Vehicle found in the Beaver Creek Community of Lunenburg County

Shortly after noon last Sunday, the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an Oldsmobile Alero in the 900 block of Egg Dr., Route 705. The car was 100 to 200 yards in the woods from the road. The car was found by a man using a bushhog on an adjacent path. Law enforcement immediately dispatched tracking canines to the scene to search the area for the car’s owner, Ms. Virginia Edmonds.

The Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police have been searching for the 73-year-old Kenbridge woman since June 28, 2013. Ms. Edmonds has black eyes and short black hair, weighs approximately 120 pounds and her height is 5’5.” She was last seen wearing a black Members Only jacket and black shoes. At this stage of the search, foul play is not suspected in her disappearance.
