Meth Lab Seized in Lunenburg

jeff annisOn May 6, 2014 members of the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task force, Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Conservation Police Officers from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant on Plank Road in the Kenbridge area of Lunenburg County. The search resulted in the seizure of a methamphetamine lab and precursor chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamines. The investigation led to the arrest of Jeffrey H. Annis of Raleigh, North Carolina on multiple charges related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. The Virginia State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team also assisted in the investigation.
Sheriff Townsend of the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office commends all of the officers involved in this investigation for their cooperative effort. The sheriff would also like to remind citizens that methamphetamine labs are extremely dangerous. The type of lab found here poses a threat of toxic chemicals and combustible materials.
