Lunenburg Sheriff’s Office Investigating Friday Shooting Incident

LUNENBURG – A shooting incident in Lunenburg this past Friday resulted in a man being injured and transported to the hospital.

The Lunenburg Sheriff’s Department said that on February 19, 2021 at 3:21 p.m., Deputies from the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at the intersection of Owl Road and County Line Road in Lunenburg County.  

Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his left arm.  Charlotte County Rescue Squad responded to the scene and transported the victim to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville. He was later transferred to Chippenham Hospital in Richmond for treatment. 

No update on the condition of the victim was available as of press time.
