Lunenburg couple honored by Richmond area school

RICHMOND – Lunenburg residents, Fred and Margie Paynter, recently received a special honor from a Richmond area high school where they were integral in helping the sports programs during past years.

The ceremony took place October 21, 2015 at Highland Springs High School where they were inducted into the Springer’s Wall of Fame.  The couple were devoted Springer fans who were active members of that booster club organization and spent many hours preparing meals for the student athletes while their son Michael Paynter played on the  football or baseball teams. Michael graduated from Highland Springs High School in 1981. As part of the award their names will go on the Wall of Fame at Highland Springs.

Fred and Margie now reside in Lunenburg where they watch their grandchildren participating in many sports and activities throughout the local schools and recreational leagues.
