Lucy Elizabeth Eggleston Obituary

Keysville, Va.

Lucy Elizabeth Eggleston, age 98, of Keysville, VA, Lunenburg County, went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 17, 2016.  She was the widow of James M. Eggleston.

Lucy is survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors that she considered her family.  She was a lifelong devoted member of Cool Spring Christian Church and served the church in many capacities while she was able.   Lucy walked closely with her Lord, read her Bible and prayed every day.  She was a sweet lady, loved by all.   Lucy had no children of her own but she was a mother to many.  Her Christian example touched many people young and old.  Lucy will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016, in Cool Spring Christian Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, on Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 7 to 8 p.m., and at the church on October 21, 2016, from 2 to 3 p.m.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad or Cool Spring Christian Church Cemetery Fund.   The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
