Longwood Student Found Dead In Apartment

A Longwood University senior was found deceased in his off-campus residence Wednesday morning, Dec. 4.

Fitzhugh Gordon Samuel, 21, a theatre major from Falls Church, Va., died sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. He was found by roommates, who called police at 8:25 a.m., reported Longwood University Chief of Police Bob Beach. Samuel lived at Lancer Park, university-managed housing off the main campus.

Longwood Police are investigating, but there is no evidence of foul play. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
