Old But Not Worthless

Thanks to the archaic electoral system, I guess I get to keep my guns four more years. Now if Al Sharpton will prove to us he is not a smart-mouthed jerk and move to Canada, I will send him $100 on his multi-million dollar tax bill.

Seek God in All Things

Now that the presidential election is over, on or soon after January 20, 2017, Mr. Trump should call for a day of prayer and fasting. Such has a precedent. On March 30, 1863, President Lincoln called for such a day.  It is clear to many that God had His hand in the formation of America and in the outcome of the  “shocking” results of this election.  The U.S. needs to thank God for His benevolence to our country since its beginning and for giving us wise founding-fathers who understood the value of religious
freedom, the work ethic, and the benefits of a strong Constitution and a republican form of government.

Among the things for which we need to seek forgiveness are taking His blessings for granted and for the killing of millions of unborn children.

God, the eternal Creator of the universe, the world, and mankind, as well as the Giver and Sustainer of life, knows the end from the beginning; we should seek His guidance and wisdom as we face an uncertain world abroad and  multiple challenges at home.

Thanks for the Paper

Thank you for your hard work in putting out the three-county paper for our area! I always enjoy reading the news and seeing what has happened.

I also attend the monthly meetings of the Keysville Lighthouse at Sheldon’s and thank you so much for publishing free our schedule of meetings for the public.

Keep up your good work!
