Heart Transplant Recipient is Grateful

Thank you so much for all the support and donations that were given at the fundraiser benefit for me in Phenix to help with my heart medical expenses.  Thanks to Midway Baptist Church and community that helped sponsor and promote this event. Little did I know that within 3 weeks, I would be admitted to the hospital until a heart was available. The wait for the transplant could have been months, but I was blessed to receive a heart in four days. I am now recovering and doing well. Thanks also for all the cards, phone calls, visits, and other acts of kindness shown. I also appreciate all your concern, thoughts, and prayers throughout this entire ordeal.  I truly believe that I have been given a new chance at life and received a miracle from God.

Red Hill COO Thanks the Community

The Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation (Patrick Henry’s Red Hill) would like to thank our volunteers, staff, and supporters for a successful Bluegrass, Barbecue, and Brew Festival on November 5th. The men and women  of  the Patrick Henry Auxiliary at Red Hill  did a tremendous job telling our visitors about Patrick Henry and Red Hill through interpretations in the historic buildings. They, along with family members of our staff, also assisted with

parking cars, admissions, assisting visitors with golf cart rides, and providing many other services to our guests. The Foundation could not hold such an event without our talented and dedicated volunteers. And once again, our staff did an amazing job of running the event. They all worked extremely hard to make the day enjoyable for everyone who came out for the festival! The turnout was spectacular; it was definitely a record crowd!

The Foundation would like to recognize our sponsors and partners of the event – Century Link, Discover Lynchburg, Southside Electric Cooperative, Trent Company Crop Insurance, Point Source Audio, Virginia Eagle, Town of Brookneal, Brookneal Chamber, Halifax County Tourism, Charlotte County Farm Bureau, JES Evergreen Basements, Heritage Hall, 246 Main, BSW, and WSET. Thank you for making this event possible.

We also want to thank YOU, our community for supporting Red Hill – the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation. We appreciate your patience with our ‘growing pains’ on Saturday and we promise to improve the flow of lines for next year’s event.
