Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Charlotte Adult Learning Center, I want to thank the editor and staff of the Southside Messenger for help and assistance in publicizing our recent Adult Spelling Bee held on March 1.  This event was very helpful in calling attention to the contribution of the Charlotte Adult Learning Center to the area, as well as to raise funds for the center’s operation.  I believe that CALC is a top tier anti-poverty agency in the county and region.

I also want to express our appreciation to these fine businesses and establishments that helped sponsor the Spelling Bee.  They are: Bank of Charlotte County, Tucker Timber Products of Keysville, American Plastic Fab of Brookneal, Keysville Ruritan Club, Spaulding Equipment Company of Clover, VA, Keysville Hardware and Farm Supply, Charlotte Lions Club, Sheldon’s Restaurant and Tri-County Ford of Keysville, Cornerstone Insurance Agency and Corban Veterinarian Services of Charlotte Court House, Drs.
