VICTORIA – With the dangers that come with being a law enforcement officer and daily reports of officers being injured or even killed in the line of duty all across the county, support from home is integral.
A local group was recently organized that brings town and county families and state officers together for fun activities and support. It also allows them to focus on fun family oriented activities and not the dangers their loved ones face each year.
This past Sunday, the local group held an Easter egg hunt at Victoria Elementary School. With rain in the forecast and temperatures unseasonably cold, the group moved inside with the help of the local schools for a fun afternoon that included egg hunting, coloring and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
