Larney Aubrey “Buddy” Worthington Obituary

Larney Aubrey “Buddy” Worthington, 83, entered into eternal rest on July 19, 2019, at Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond, Virginia.  Buddy was a native of Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia.  He moved to Virginia in 1967 to begin his lifelong career as a forester, first with Chesapeake Corporation and then as an independent forester.  Buddy loved the outdoors, all animals, and his church, Ash Camp Baptist.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

Buddy is survived by his devoted wife, Caroline Johnson Worthington; two daughters, Cindy and Dawn; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Claudra and Dan Matthews of Pavo, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of his life was held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 10 a.m., at Ash Camp Baptist Church, Keysville, Virginia.  The family received friends at the home, 380 Country Club Road, Keysville.  In lieu of flowers, please consider the Southside SPCA or a charity of your choice.
