Large Numbers Show Up for Free COVID-19 Testing

VICTORIA- The Virginia Department of Health, along with Lunenburg Health Department, Piedmont Health Department and Community Advocate Committee, held a successful free COVID-19 testing event on Saturday at Central High School in Lunenburg County.

The parking lot was full throughout the morning as health care officials worked to test anyone who wanted to find out if they were positive or negative for COVID-19. The tests were done on a first-come, first served basis with participants wearing a mask and remaining in their vehicles and at least six feet from other people.

Lunenburg County Administrator said early this week that around 377 people had been tested during the event that ended in the mid-afternoon. Results are expected to be given by the end of this week.
