Lady Statesmen Take on Cougars, Bulldogs

CHARLOTTE COURT HOUSE – The Randolph-Henry High School varsity softball team took on Nottoway and Goochland last week.

On May 8th, R-HHS varsity softball played Nottoway and took a tough 15-0 loss against the top team in the JRD.

Megan Davis started pitching and then Najada Robertson went in for a relief appearance. The R-H offense could not get going that day and Lady Statesmen coaches commented, “Nottoway is a very strong team.”

On May 10, R-H played Goochland and lost in a 5 to 1 ball game. Najada Robertson pitched the whole game and did very well against them.

Anna Pasciuta helped lead the offense as she had a single and a walk. Hannah Pasciuta also had a single while Macie Fannon had an RBI. Leighan Payne and Najada Robertson each had doubles on the night for R-H.

Coaches commented, “The girls played very well and only had a few errors. We are seeing improvement and we do not give up.”
