Lady Statesmen Lose on the Road in Conference Tourney

NOTTOWAY – The Randolph-Henry Lady Statesmen had a tall task when the match-ups for the Conference 34 Tournament were announced.

They Lady Statesmen had to travel to take on the top seeded Nottoway Cougars who are a favorite again this year to go deep into the playoffs.

The February 9^th contest at Nottoway was all Cougars from the outset as they jumped ahead 31-2 in the game and led 42-2 at halftime using stifling defense and a fast paced offense.

The Lady Statesmen had some opportunities to get more points on the board, but a cold shooting night and a terrific opponent were a bad combination.

R-H shot 1 for 29 (3%) from the field and had 33 turnovers. Nottoway put a 1-2-2 full court press on from the beginning and cruised to the 60-5 victory.
