Lady Statesmen battle strong Liberty Christian team in tennis

The Randolph Henry Tennis team recently took on a tough private school opponent in Liberty Christian and gave a hard fought effort despite taking a tough team loss.

The Lady Statesmen suffered a tough 3-6  loss on March 24 to Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg.

Event with the loss there were several bright spots for the group. The team would get singles wins by #2 seed Couper Webb,  #3 seed Alena Latysheva and the #3 seed doubles team of Latysheva/Mackenzie Sharpe.

With teams off for spring break last week the team will be back in action against Fuqua School on April 7 at home and again on April 8 against conference rival Buckingham County at home.
