LUNENBURG – The Central Varsity Lady Chargers basketball team clinched a third seed and home game in the upcoming Conference Playoffs with a recent win over Randolph-Henry to end their regular season.
The Chargers came out on fire early on and jumped ahead 14-2 behind the strong play of TanJaNeka White-Freeman, Dominique Turman-Watson and Ashley Genova.
Central continued to play well and surged ahead 27-8 at halftime with Myyonte Jennings and Brittany Dolan getting their offense going.
The second half was more of the same as Central cruised to the 55-25 victory.
