KEYSVILLE – The frigid weather apparently deterred few from lining the sides of King Street in Keysville last Friday night to view the annual Christmas parade. Congratulations to organizers, maintenance crew, participants and celebrities all for their hard work to bring the spirit of Christmas to town!
While all entries in the parade are winners, the judges selected the following list for their particularly outstanding contributions:
Show Vehicle – First: Bug Busters; Second: Backwoods Towing & Recovery; Third: Jayden Blanton
Schools – First: Phenix Elementary; Second: Eureka Elementary
Religious Float – First: Keysville United Methodist Church
Emergency Vehicles – First: Charlotte County Rescue Squad; Second: Meherrin Fire Department;
Third: Southside Virginia EMS Riding Group
Marching Unit – First: Charlotte County Patriots Flag/Cheer; Second: Charlotte County Patriots Minor
Cheer; Third: Charlotte County Patriots JV/Varsity
Business Float – First: Dr. Billy Rutherford; Second: The Painted Palm
Tractor – First: Earl Dix
Band – First: Randolph-Henry High School
Civic Float – First: Charlotte County Special Olympics; Second: Charlotte County Greys
