Kenbridge Police Chief Raymond Hite, Jr. sent the following press release regarding the incident:

“On June 26, 2016 at approximately 2:30 a.m. there was an incident at a convenience store in the Town of Kenbridge. The incident involved shots being fired in the parking lot of the convenience store. According to a witness, there were approximately four males in a white Nissan sedan with thirty day tags in the parking lot of the store. One of these males shot and wounded another male who was in the parking lot. The victim was treated for his injuries on scene by the Emergency Squad, and was not transported.
