JV Lady Statesmen Off to Hot Start

CHARLOTTE COUT HOUSE – A little over half way through the season the Randolph-Henry JV Lady Statesmen softball team are off to a hot start under first year head coach Anthony Dunn. The team has an 8-0 overall record and a 4-0 record in the James River District. Throughout the season the JV Lady Statesmen have been led at the plate by Alex Clark (15 hits), Addyson Duffer (13 hits), Abigail Clowdis (12 hits), Alyssa Townsend (12 hits), and Sidney Hamlett (11 hits). The JV Lady Statesmen have a combined team batting average of over 400. Alyssa Townsend and Abbigail Dixon both have one homerun on the season so far. They are led in the circle by eighth grader Sidney Hamlett and Abigail Dixon. Hamlett is sporting a 5-0 record and Dixon sports a 3-0 record. The two hurlers have combined for a total of 60 strikeouts so far on the season.
