Just Like Home… For the Holidays

The Home for the Holidays Event held December 7 at the John H. Daniel Campus of Southside Virginia Community College was a hit once again.  Many surprises and activities and lots of shopping were in store for those attending.  Once again, Santa arrived by helicopter to the delight of the many children and those young at heart. There were vendors, hotdogs, a chili cook-off contest and a whole lot of holiday cheer.  The judges picked the Winning Chili Recipe as the one submitted by the team of Lorie Mitchum-Burns and Carl Burns, while Rock Mason’s recipe was the winner of the popular vote.
