Juanita Fulghum Obituary

Charlotte C.H., Va.

Juanita Fulghum, 83, of Charlotte Court House, Va., passed peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2016. She was a native of Dublin, Georgia, but lived the majority of her life in Southside Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Fulghum, and her daughter, Anita Beth Fulghum. Juanita is survived by her daughter and her husband, Rhonda and Kermit Jones of Charlotte C.H., Va., son and his wife, Joseph R. “Bob” and Joyce Fulghum, Jr. of Rice, Va., five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Nina.” Each of them can attest to her phenomenal skills in the kitchen, where her love for cooking directly translated to each and every dish she made. Juanita was an expert Bridge player who enjoyed the fellowship of other players as much as the game itself, and recently, she also began to enjoy Bingo as a favored pastime.

A memorial service was held at the Charlotte C.H. United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 16th with a reception held at the church following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 330, Keysville, VA 23947.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
