Jones Not Ready to Retire: Seeks Another Term as Sheriff

Thomas Jones has thrown his hat into the ring hoping to be re-elected to his currently held position as Charlotte County Sheriff.

In a letter received from Jones last week, the sheriff expressed his appreciation for residents’ continued support:

Having been your Sheriff for 28 years, I have always appreciated the support you as citizens have given me.  Being your Sheriff has been both challenging and satisfying.

I have worked to build a department based on honesty, equality, and fair play; a department oriented to supporting the law and order, and devoted to serving the county and your needs.

I have always been proud to serve as your Sheriff, and will continue to serve you to the best of my ability.

I greatly appreciate the support each and every one has given me in the past years and ask for your continued support.

I will continue to work to keep our Sheriff’s Office ahead of changing times.
