Jean Carroll Salmon Tuck

Jean Carroll Salmon Tuck, born on November 1, 1934, went peacefully to heaven on December 26, 2014, at the Woodland in Farmville, Virginia.  She left after fighting a long battle with Alzheimer’s.   She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Deaner Salmon and father, Harry Carroll Salmon.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard Wilson Tuck; two daughters, Tammy Tuck Baldwin (Tim), and Melody Tuck Foster (Mike); four grandchildren, Christopher Baldwin, Elizabeth Baldwin, Corey Foster, and Megan Foster.

Jean Carroll was born and raised in Charlotte County. Jean Carroll and Richard were married on April 17, 1954.  She was a homemaker and helped on the family tobacco farm.  Jean Carroll always welcomed any new family to the community and always tended to any sick neighbor or person in need.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2014, at Concord Baptist Church with graveside service immediately following.  The family received friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. on Sunday, December 28, 2014, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. was in charge of arrangements.
