Jayvee Central Chargers get Road Win over Buckingham

The Central Chargers JV Baseball team took on Buckingham last week and came away with a 13-11 road victory.
The Chargers would get on the board in the first inning as Noah Dunbar and Micajah Paynter both singled and scored. Buckingham would get one run in the bottom of the first off of CHS starting pitcher Jackson Dalton.

The Chargers added to their lead in the second inning as Cary Parrish led off with a single and scored. Dunbar, Paynter and Austin Alphin also reached base and scored with Jackson Parsons collecting a hit as well. Central would lead 6-1 at the end of two innings.

In the third inning, John McGrath and Austin Hall both walked and scored on a Mason Elliot single, but Buckingham responded with four runs in their half of the inning to make the score 8-5 in favor of the Chargers.

The fourth inning saw Dalton and Hall walk with Paynter collecting an RBI single. Buckingham again responded with 3 runs and Central led 10-8. Alphin would single and score in the fifth inning to lengthen the CHS lead, while Paynter and Alphin both singled and scored in the sixth to put Central ahead 13-8. Buckingham would add three late runs in the sixth inning, but the Chargers would hang on for the JRD win.
