In and Over! Vehicle Crashes into House; Cherokee Overturns

On Wednesday, January 29, if you were close to the 4000 block of Rt. 15 in Prince Edward County, you may have heard a loud BOOM!

Crash in HouseAround 10:54 p.m., Virginia State Police were dispatched to the scene of a house that had been struck by a vehicle.

At least one person was transported from the scene for treatment of injuries.

In a separate incident, at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Anna Veals, 27, of Keysville was traveling along George Washington Hwy. in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee when she ran off the right side of the road. After running off, Veals struck a pipe and overturned multiple times before the vehicle came to a stop.

Veals, along with three minors, were all injured in the incident and transported to the hospital by rescue squads from Charlotte County and Meherrin.

Veals was charged with failure to maintain control of her vehicle. Trooper D. Thompson was the investigating officer.
