Home Invasion on Abilene Rd.

On Saturday, January 18, 2014 at approximately 8:54 p.m., the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an assault from the 4000 block of Abilene Road. Deputies and Troopers arrived shortly thereafter, found the victim and called EMS to the scene. Further investigation revealed that two suspects had broken into the home, assaulted the victim and stolen an undisclosed amount of US currency.

A few hours later, one subject, Delanta Harvey, age 18, was apprehended in Cumberland County. Harvey is being charged with abduction, breaking and entering, assault, battery and larceny and is being held in Piedmont Regional Jail with no bond.
