Haywood PictureHaywood Hamlet has announced that he will seek re-election for the Aspen-Phenix seat on the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors in the November 2017 general election.  Hamlet was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1990.

“There is always unfinished business in the County.  I want to see the completion of some of the projects that are currently underway including the Louse Creek Bridge and the new courthouse,” Hamlet said.  The bridge, located on Route 40 west of Phenix, is currently under construction and is a project that Hamlet has supported for over fifteen years.   Hamlet also noted, “The future of our aging school facilities is an important issue that the Board of Supervisors and the Charlotte County School Board are still working to address.  Our children are the future of Charlotte County.  I want to continue to serve my community and help ensure our children get the best education we can provide.”  Hamlet said, “I appreciate all of the support I have received in the past and hope residents of the Aspen-Phenix District will support my bid for re-election this fall.”
