H. Spencer Mull, 72

Chase City

Mr. H. Spencer Mull, 72, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at his home. He was born June 3, 1941 to the late Clarence Uray and Etta May Mull. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane Reese Mull. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Scott Mull and wife, Gina, Jason Mull and wife, Wendy, Jeff Mull and Melvin Seay, Jr.; two daughters, Gena Mull and Tina Seay. Also his four grandchildren, Cody Mull, Devon Coleman, Hannah Mull and Carter Mull. In addition he is survived by two brothers, Billy Mull and Clarence “Buddy” Mull, Jr. and two sisters, Juanita Durette and Darlene Stembridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Fred Mull and two sisters, Wilma Johnson and Eleanor Newcomb. Mr. Spencer was retired from the Dept. of Corrections. He served as Captain of the Chase City Rescue Squad for three years and was a member of the Chase City Volunteer Fire Dept. for seventeen years. Also he was the manager of the South Central Fairgrounds for many years. Visitation will be held Wednesday night, September 4 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Woodland cemetery.
