Grand Jury in Charlotte County Hands Down Indictments for Murder, Drug Distribution

CHARLOTTE COURT HOUSE – A Saxe man has been indicted in the death of 26-year-old Karen T. Goode almost a year ago.

Edward DeShawn Eppes was indicted by a Grand Jury in Charlotte County Circuit Court on June 8, 2016 and arrested June 12. He has been indicted for involuntary manslaughter, a felony.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Goode was discovered at a home on Shore Lane in Drakes Branch with a single gunshot wound in her chest.

Other indictments handed down by the grand jury include:

Derek Clinton Hughes – Possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

Joseph Michael Dix – Destruction of property worth more than $1000, entering a house to commit larceny, assault and battery or other felony

Chad Everett Hicks – Destruction of property worth more than $1000, entering a house to commit larceny, assault and battery or other felony

Keeshaun Rhyshand Terry – Malicious wounding, shooting or throwing an object into an occupied building, 2nd degree murder, grand larceny: auto theft

Tyree Craddock – Aggravated Involuntary manslaughter

William Morris Harris – Robbery of a residence, use of a firearm in a felony, possession of a gun by a felon

Alex Leon Roberts – Robbery of a residence, use of a firearm in a felony, possession of a gun by a felon

Holly Skelton – Three counts of welfare fraud, one count of failing to notify the Department of Social Services about a change of circumstance that would affect eligibility

Joshua Cosmo Grover – Four counts of Receiving/Buying stolen goods worth more than $200, One count of receiving stolen goods worth less than $200, receiving or concealing a stolen firearm

Kaseem Hashim – Rape by force or threat, Abduction with the intent to defile

Jalaludin Conner – Rape by force or threat, Abduction with the intent to defile

Yusif Harris – Abduction with the intent to defile
