CHARLOTTE COURT HOUSE – On February 14, 2016, Grace Community Church will celebrate two years of ministry in Charlotte County.  We would like to express our appreciation to all in the local community that have supported this young ministry and invite you to visit us on that day at our regular meeting time of 4:30 p.m. followed by a family meal.  We are located next to the Dollar General in Charlotte Court House at 515 George Washington Hwy.  Everyone is warmly welcomed.

GCCPastor Robert and Yvette Perrin are a retired military couple who moved to Charlotte County in May of 2011.  Pastor Robert has a Masters of Divinity, with other degrees received over his 26-year military career.  Yvette Perrin is a national speaker and the Regional Trainer of VA for Stonecroft Ministries.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling.  As a couple they have been in ministry for over 25 years.

After moving to Charlotte County, the couple started a community Bible study in their home.  As the Bible study grew it was apparent that the Lord had plans for this group of believers who wanted to make a difference in their community.  The result is a family-oriented church that welcomes all people including children, seniors and the handicapped, which fosters “Love Jesus and Love People.”  This is expressed as the church supports each other and they reach out and support their local community.  They worship as a family, fellowship as a family and serve as a family.

Grace Community Church (GCC) is a non-traditional church that meets in a casual setting on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. with a family dinner following.  The late afternoon time fit as the pastor was led by the Lord to start later in the day.  For example, many people attend who are not able to attend church during the day due to work shifts.  Therefore, the afternoon hour allows them the freedom to worship on Sunday.

The teaching of the church is Jesus Centered.  Although Pastor Robert Perrin is an ordained Baptist preacher, the church is an independent inter-denominational church, which focuses on the Word of God.   They invite anyone to attend regardless of religious background, but GCC maintains the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Recently, GCC joined affiliation with the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Bible Studies are still in full swing.  Community people and churches are welcome to attend without obligation.  The Community Ladies Bible Study meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at the local Court House Coffee Shop at 7p.m. and continues to meet the rest of the month on Tuesdays at GCC at 7p.m.  The Community Men’s Bible Study meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at GCC at 7p.m. and the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the local Court House Coffee at 7p.m.  Feel free to join us anytime!
