Gift of 1000 Books

The Charlotte Adult Learning Center and the Charlotte County Chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs partnered to bring 1000 new books to over 500 children through the gift program of the Southside Christmas Parents December 14th. The CALC is a community-based adult literacy program that offers tutoring in reading, math, computer skills, and GED. The GFWC offers women a chance to make a difference in their communities through charitable works and volunteering. Call 434-542-5782 for more information about either organization.
