Fun-filled Farmville

Riverside Park in Farmville was a great place to spend a warm evening, especially while great music was playing and cold brew was flowing! Welcome to First Fridays in Farmville! The Farmville area Jaycees hosted the monthly event that is fast becoming a Farmville tradition. Gypsy Road did a great job filling the shady riverside park with music!

Even though it has been open for business for a while, Saturday was the official Grand Opening of the new Verizon store in Farmville. The store sits in the spot where the old Dairy Queen used to be. It was a fun, all out affair, in spite of the hit and miss showers that threatened most of the day. Inside there was plenty of new merchandise priced to entice and the shiny, new store was fully staffed with pleasant and knowledgeable representatives eager to help. Outside, there was music and face painting and even free barbecue, cole slaw, French fries and cold drinks!
