The Indianapolis-based cabinet manufacturing company, Siteline Cabinetry, held its official grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 21. The high end, custom cabinet company plans to build their line of popular, full access, frameless cabinets in their brand new 97,000 square foot facility that they have been working on in the Charlotte County Industrial Park. Situated directly across from the new Patriot Rail facility, Siteline offers a giant boost to the local economy, planning to employ upwards of 100 workers at the high tech facility when they are running at full capacity.

Siteline CEO Mr. Pat Corsi himself hosted the ceremony, and graciously thanked everyone that helped the opening become a reality. He took the time, at one point, to reminisce about the humble beginnings of his company. “I don’t mind telling you that I started with the help of a government program,” he told the audience. “I remember standing in the middle of a small warehouse with a check for $44,000 from the SBA, (Small Business Administration) Today, well, $44,000 wouldn’t buy one half of one of the sanders that is in the next room.” Sharing his dream for the relationship that the Corsi Group hopes to have with the county as they grow, he went on to say, with a grin, “…we are going to try to be the poster child for capitalism here.”

After the official ribbon cutting, the audience was split up into groups and led on an informative tour of the facility. The well-trained, core, startup staff led the group through the expansive work area, explaining the manufacturing process and fielding questions from members of the groups. Mr. Corsi also led a group, proudly explaining the wealth of technology that is used to make their signature brand of custom cabinetry. Standing in front of a huge, fully automated machine, he told the gathering, “We have replaced the variables of craftsmanship with the exactness of automation and data.”  The entire process also places a high value on environmentally friendly practices such as the reduction of VOC emissions. The plant plans a slow, steady ramp up in production and aims to be running at full capacity in 18 months to two years, according to an estimate by one employee.
