First Citizens to Close

The Southside Messenger has received information from reliable sources that the Drakes Branch location of First Citizens Bank is scheduled to close January of 2016. The Messenger reached out to Barbara Thompson, Communications Department at First Citizen’s corporate headquarters located in Raleigh, N.C. on Wednesday to confirm the news of the local branch closure but she did not return our call before press time.
