Female Arrested For Armed Robbery

The Farmville Police Department has arrested one local individual on charges of Robbery, and Conspiring to Commit Robbery.

On Jan. 3, 2015, a robbery was reported by the occupants of a room located at the Comfort Inn on South Main Street in the Town of Farmville. It was reported to responding officers that a black male subject entered into the room displaying a firearm and demanded the occupants to turn over all monies. The suspect then fled the scene along with a female occupant of the room, and an undisclosed amount of money.

 Subsequent investigation has lead police to charge Brittany Rae Woods, age 26, of Farmville.  Ms. Woods was arrested without incident and incarcerated in Piedmont Regional Jail on January 6, 2015 and has since been released on bond.
