Fatal Tuesday Night Car Crash Under Investigation

LUNENBURG – A fatal single car accident on Tuesday night has claimed the life of one person whose identity has not been officially released by investigators for the Virginia State Police.
A release from VSP Public Relations Director Corinne Geller stated, “At 10:15 p.m., Tuesday (July 11), Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in Lunenburg County. The crash occurred in the 4100 block of Lunenburg County Road/Route 40. There was one confirmed fatality.”
Lunenburg County Road was closed for several hours after the wreck and re-opened at 12:52 a.m., on July 12.
The crash remains under investigation.
