In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 28, 2014, Farmville Police responded to a  burglary at Baxter’s Convenience Store in the 1000 block of N. Main Street.  Two suspects had forced entry into the building during the night, stealing cigarettes and the business cash register.  Both suspects are described as being approximately 5’10” tall.  One had a slender build, wearing eye glasses, a long sleeved white t-shirt and baggie pants.  The second suspect has a medium build and was wearing a short sleeved white t-shirt and dark baggie pants.  Both suspects were wearing masks.

Shortly after noon on Sunday, June 15, 2014, Farmville police officers responded to a residential burglary in the 800 block of Vernon Street in Farmville. Two subjects had forced entry into the unoccupied residence and ransacked the inside of the home. The victims returned to the home finding the suspects still inside.  When the intruders were confronted, both suspects fled the scene on foot.  Detectives have reason to believe that the suspects may have had a vehicle parked near the Elk’s Lodge on S. Main Street.

The first subject in this burglary is described as a white male, between the ages of 16-20 years old, having a medium build, and standing 5’7” tall. He has gray/green eyes and light brown hair, with acne and a thin mustache on his face. The subject was wearing a gray “Army” t-shirt and baggy blue jeans. He also wore thick dark framed prescription eye glasses.  The second subject is described as a black male, between the ages of 16-20 years old, having a medium build, and standing about 5’7” tall. He has acne on his face, with a slightly unshaven appearance. The subject was wearing a gray/dark blue plaid shirt and baggy blue jeans. He is described as having a slightly “droopy” lower lip.

Detectives are still investigating whether these two incidents may be related.  Anyone with any information concerning either of these burglaries is asked to contact Detective S. L. Entrekin at 392-2127, or to call our anonymous hotline at 392-DRUG.
