On October 15, 2013, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board revoked Marjorie Lancaster Wall’s license to practice law for violating professional rules that govern competence, diligence, safekeeping property, communication, fees, bar admission and disciplinary matters, and misconduct. In consenting to the revocation, Ms. Wall admitted that the charges against her are true and that she could not successfully defend against them.

According to the documents, there were shown to be (at least) two instances wherein Marjorie L. Wall was retained to handle personal affairs and accounts involving the administration of an estate and the disbursement of a client’s funds in a post-divorce situation. In both of these cases, Marjorie L. Wall was found to be negligent and irresponsible according to the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board.

Wall will be eligible to petition the Virginia Supreme Court for relicensure in five years.
