Farmville Fire Department Responds to Church Fire

APPOMATTOX -The Farmville Fire Department responded to an early morning call on Saturday, January 14, sending Company 1 to a church fire on Morningstar Road in Appomattox.
Farmville was called to help aid the Appomattox Fire Department with the blaze that took place prior to 6:00 a.m. The cause of the fire was unknown at press time, but the structure was destroyed before firefighters were able to get the fire out and secure the area.
According to information from the Farmville Fire Department, there were no injuries during this incident. The church that was destroyed in the fire was Morning Star Baptist Church.
