Farmville Crime Spree Investigated

The Farmville Police Department is investigating a series of offenses related to property damage and shooting at occupied vehicles.  Police have responded to 10 calls for service regarding damage to private property and vehicles apparently shot with a pellet or bb gun. No evidence exists at this time to indicate a weapon caliber larger than an air gun. Nine of these offenses have occurred since April 2.  A total of eight vehicles have been struck, two of which were occupied at the time with no injuries noted. It is suspected that the offenses are related and the suspect(s) are possibly in a vehicle. The offenses occurred at the following locations:

• 1000 and 1700 Block of South Main Street

• 100 Block of South Virginia Street

• 300 Block of N.South Street

• 500 Block of Church Street

• 1200 Block of West Osborn St.

• 100 Block of Midtown Ave

• 200 Block of Parkview Drive

• 700 Block of E. Second Street
