Farmville Buddy Basketball wraps up second season

The Farmville Buddy Basketball program ended its second season on Friday, March 18 at the PEFYA Gym in Farmville.  The program ran for seven Friday evenings.  Farmville Buddy Basketball, which is sponsored by Farmville Parks and Recreation, is for children with disabilities. Matt Lucas, a professor in the Department of Health, Athletic Training, Recreation, and Kinesiology at Longwood co-ran the program with Hannah McDevitt and Michaela Causey, Longwood students.  These volunteers included a variety of Longwood students.  If you have any questions about this free program, or other programs for children with disabilities run by Matt Lucas and his students, which includes Buddy Baseball starting Saturday, April 2, please contact him at lucasmd@longwood.edu.
