Ethan Watson Wins Fuqua Geography Bee

Students in grades four through eight recently participated in a Geography Bee held at Fuqua School. The participates were as follows: 8th Grade- Ethan Watson, Peyton Wiecking; 7th Grade- Jeremiah Thorne, Ireland Seagle; 6th Grade- Kate Elam, Adin Martinez; 5th Grade- Lauren Rojcewicz, Jackson Allen, Ryan Ledger; with alternates- Wyatt Elam, Irene Thornton, Emily Erickson, Margaret Grace Patteson, Tyler Harris, and Damien Pack.

Competition was intense between eighth grader, Ethan Watson, and seventh grader, Jeremiah Thorne, with Ethan winning the championship round. As victor of the Fuqua School bee, Ethan Watson received a National Geographic Bee certificate and medallion. He will also complete a 45-minute, timed, written test to determine if he qualifies to compete at the state level.
