Saturday, November 28, 2015, Ms. Edna Marie Austin departed this life and slipped into eternal rest at Trinity Missions in Farmville, Virginia. She was born February 2, 1928 to the late Ms. Lucy Austin. In addition to her mother two brothers, who were Keysville natives, preceded her in death, Mr. Overton Austin and Mr. Lloyd Austin.

At an early age she joined the Mt. Ellis Church where she remained a member until her death.

Edna was a loving and caring person. She loved to clean and beautify her home, and everything and everyone around her benefited from her many talents. She also loved her church and helped to raise the children in her community. The words of that old familiar song, “May the Work I’ve Done, Speak For Me” is so befitting for a lady of such dignity and class. We will miss you and we will always love you.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, two devoted sons: Deacon John L. Austin (Edith) of Keysville, Virginia, and Mr. Clinton M. Austin (Linda) of Victoria, Virginia; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; one niece, Ms. Virginia Dailey; one great nephew; two great nieces; and a host of friends.

Arrangements made by Wilson Funeral Home, Keysville, Va.

A precious one from us is gone A voice we love is stilled

A place is vacant in our homes Which never can be filled.
