Early Morning Accident Claims the Life of Lunenburg Man

LUNENBURG – Many Lunenburg residents awoke Wednesday morning to the tragic news of an accident that claimed the life of Lunenburg resident Aaron Williams.

While Virginia State Police officials continue to finalize the accident investigation, the wreck took place at approximately 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

Williams was traveling along Ashton Road near the intersection with Route 663 when the Toyota car he was driving went off the road, struck a tree and overturned, claiming the life of the Lunenburg man.

Many local residents and friends took to social media sites to offer thoughts and prayers for their friend during the day on Wednesday. Williams was well known throughout the community and was a standout athlete during his high school years where he attended Kenston Forest and also played for local Lunenburg leagues.
