EAA Chapter to offer free airplane rides

FARMVILLE – On Saturday, April 9, EAA Chapter 1202 of Farmville will be offering free airplane rides to all children and young adults between the ages of eight and 17 years old. This event will take place at Farmville Regional Airport, Newman Field, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

In addition to the ride, participants will be able to experience the world of aviation, learn how airplanes work, and receive a free log book and certificate of their flight.

All those participating will receive lunch, consisting of a hot dog, chips, cookies and a drink.

A parent or legal guardian must be present to initiate flight authorization. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled.
